Study African Languages and AVVA as a minor subject:

If you want to study African languages, the minor African Verbal and Visual Arts (AVVA) give you the best opportunity to do so. You have a great choice of combining language courses (Bambara, Swahili, Wolof, isiXhosa) with other thematically oriented courses in linguistics, literature, media and art.

In total, students will study 49 Credits, thereby combining courses offered in the AVVA programme. Please get in touch with programme coordinator/moderator to discuss your individual study plan.

The examination regulations (in German language) can be found here: https://www.amtliche-bekanntmachungen.uni-bayreuth.de/de/amtliche-bekanntmachungen/2017/2017-050.pdf

On page 13, a sample study plan is spelled out.  However, students are also welcome to replace individual modules with further African languages or further specialised courses.
