This year Sabrina Maurus receives the award "Preis der Stadt Bayreuth" for her outstanding dissertation on "Battles over State Making on a Frontier - Dilemmas of Schooling, Young People and Agro-Pastoralism in Hamar, Southwest Ethiopia". The award ceremony will take place during the President's Dinner, which was planned for November 17, 2020, but has now been postponed due to the current situation.
