Internship
The B.A. degree programs in Social and Cultural Anthropology, African Culture and Society and Culture and Society (subject Cultural and Social Anthropology) include a compulsory internship that offers students the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired during their studies in an area of work outside of academia and to gain practical insights into a future field of work. It must be completed from the 4th semester at the earliest.
Students search independently for an internship in a field of activity for which their studies prepare them and which corresponds to their personal interests. The internship can be completed either in Germany or abroad. The duration of the internship is determined by the respective study and examination regulations and can be looked up there. Voluntary services, voluntary work and internships completed before the start of your studies are not recognized as compulsory internships.
The Internship Advisory Service at the Department of Social Anthropology (in cooperation with the Career Service) supports students in their search for a suitable internship position, the application, the certification of compulsory internships and the follow-up reflection on the internship. Contact us by e-mail or come to the office hours!
