  • January 2019 – December 2020. The Fritz Thyssen Foundation post-doctoral fellow affiliated to the Department of Anthropology, University of Bayreuth, Germany.
  • Since July 2018 – Present. Lecturer at the Institute of African and Asian Studies (IAAS), University of Khartoum, Sudan.
  • April – October 2017. Junior Researcher at the Institute of African Studies (IAS), University of Bayreuth.
  • October 2012 – November 2016. Junior Fellow at the Bayreuth International Graduate School of African Studies (BIGSAS), University of Bayreuth.

  • November 2013 – April 2014 (six months) fieldwork funding by the International Graduate School of African Studies, University of Bayreuth.
  • December 2012 – May 2013 (six months) fieldwork funding by the International Graduate School of African Studies (BIGSAS), University of Bayreuth.
  • October 2011 – October 2012 (one year) scholarship for the BIGSAS Preparatory Course by the International Graduate School of African Studies, University of Bayreuth.
  • 2008 – 2010. Two years grant by the Chr. Michelsen Institute (CMI) of the University of Bergen; to carry out the master programs at the University of Khartoum (Norwegian In-Country Scholarship Program).
